delta 20 axis lag

Hi I'm not getting an * after a program line so it isn't in position delta 20 with servo dynamic drive control Baldor servos. I'm not having much luck getting the drives adjusted I know how to get into the TM4 screen but several people have told how to adjust lag. Some say to adjust while axis is moving. One said while axis a stationary adjusting the balance pot wont bring the lag down to zero. most are at .012 or more. how many turns should it take to get a change I can turn and turn and nothing changes. Thanks

I answered somewhat on your other post, but being a tree.. Balance should be 0 +\-1 at stand still. Lag is set with tach and gain pot in medium jog. Should be 15. You probably need to get the set up sheet from bob at zps if he will give it up. It will show you how to bench tune them with a meter, then put them back in and fine tune. I have had issues with the old servo dynamics running bald or motors in the past, sometimes they worked, sometimes they were just not right. Unfortunately, I just don't have those sheets any more. Wish I would have scanned them back in the day.
