    dnc-drip feeding, delta 20

    Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone knows what the settings should be on a dnc program to send to a Tree J325 with a delta 20? I can send a program to the controller fine, but I'm not able to drip feed, so either I have my rs232 cable setup wrong or my software setting are wrong or both. Do I have to have CTS and RTS enabled?

To place the Delta 20 control into drip feed (DynaPath calls it 'Buffered Input') go into the Catalog mode and put in the program title 'RS232C'. Then go to the Auto mode and press Cycle Start. The control will 'listen' to the serial port and execute blocks as they are received.

If you need to adjust the baud rate or other serial port parameters, go to the Load mode before pressing Cycle Start.

Thanks. I was going down the wrong path. I was thinking it was concourant program.

When I try to run it I get a "First character not N" error. The first line is
    N10E01$
If I get rid of that line then it will work, but it won't use my E01 offset. Does it have to be:
    N10(0)E01$

Thought I would ask someone before I tried it.

    thanks again.

To send and recieve files you only need the #2, #3 and #7 pins, but to drip feed you need all of them in the diagram. Be sure you have the correct orientation. I have a couple backwards my first try. Note the drawing says "Pin Side" meaning the male end.

In the controller, I had to set the X0 to "X0 CTL CHR OFF". You may need to set your DNC software to "use hardware" in addition.
