RS232 connection

Hi all,
I am finally ready to hook up my j325 tree mill with a Dynapath Delta 20 control to my old windows 98 computer. What exactly do I need? Do I need a DB-25 null modem cable? How are the pins configured? Will a parallel cable work? Any help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks
