sorry; I did not mean to get your hopes up; I used to work on a tree a number of years ago so I looked at your post and noticed the g code you copied was missing that decimal point; I recall the gcode format was a bit off the normal fanuc- it was something kinda simple stupid I remember but I can't put my finger on it, so again my apologies I cannot help you

Hi, thanks tried that. no help. question, wouldn't the G1 be the active modal code and cancel all others? I have Ellison manual thanks to elnerdo. And the original dynapath manual. I think your right I need to get the dynapath to a clean slate, How to erease it's brain and start over without hurting it?

Thanks underthetire I Changed your start (0) code to x0 y0. and am positioned at the center of the bolt circle.when it gets to N4 {5} X+9.5656 Y+6.3430 Z-.5 A90 R2.5 G1 W.2 H05.05. the Z goes to minus travel limit, so I put in tm2 to restrict the Z, then X & Y go to no mans land X+21 Y+ 14 I don't understand what is going on

You know, the h5.05 does not seem right. H5 would be correct for number of holes. You only needed the decimal for skipping holes. Also, the (0) before the bolt circle should only contain x and y position,Centering on the bolt circle. nothing else. I just can't remember if the bolt circle is called out as a radial value or diameter. Seems like it was dia unless you put a / after the value. I used to teach the Dynapath class, but it's been 15 years, so it's fuzzy to me now.

If I remember right you can slow the rapids in the setup menu. It allows the feedrate override to control the rapids. Once you get used to the quirks, its a fun control. What motors on the Tree, MSI or Baldor? I still have my Tree file around somewhere, probably in the storage shop. There is a tuning procedure for the axis. I would remove the brushes and blow out the motor a little with compressed air. Don't go nuts with the air. PS, stand clear when you do it, bunch of black dust will come out. Also, there are Zerk fittings for the axis bearings for X, throw a little white grease in there to help.
