GO Tech (formerly NotBAGO) is a meeting for Ann Arbor (Michigan) area readers of Make Magazine, Circuit Cellar, Home Shop Machinist, Kevin Kelly's Cool Tools, slashdot, etc. That is, people who are interested in and make things using technology, whether that's a metal cutting lathe or a Python script. A kind of generalized mixture of CerealBar, DorkBot, Oxford Geek night, and Portland Machinist Guild. We have machinists, electrical engineers, software folks, industrial control types, and so on. We share projects, information about tools and ideas, and connect with like-minded people.

The Tuesday June 10 meeting (8 PM) is about CNC. Three of our members are retrofitting EMCO F1's, we have others with functioning desktop mills, and we hope to have a few examples for demonstration.

(July's meeting is tentatively on printed circuit board design and fabrication.)

For more details about GO-Tech, and to get on the email list, see http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/notbago/.

If you are planning on attending and have a machine or other demonstration, please let me (Dale) know well ahead of time. (Please note we do not have sturdy tables, and any demos must be relatively neat. We meet in a community dining room.)
