| It is the show of shows, They need a lot of space and they have it there. You need two days to see everything. |

| I went last year, and am going again this year. I didn't see much for "fleshy models" but there lots of neat tools and techniques to check out. I'm planning on spending one long day. However, I'm not looking at large machines. If I was, I think two days would be a better choice. -Jeff

| While I haven't been in a few years, Eastec is the largest machine tool/manufacturing show on the east coast. Last time I attended, the show took up seven buildings though I've heard it's been scaled down as of late. I always looked forward to attending. As far as the time needed to see it, it depends on what you're looking for. You can breeze through the show in a day, but if you're really looking for something specific or something major (i.e.: new equipment) you'd better plan on taking your time as all of the distributors in the northeast are there. It's held at the Eastern States Exposition center (the Big E for the locals) in Springfield I guess because it's pretty much centrally located in the Northeast. People come from Philly to the Northern Maine to attend the show. I would recommend going if you have the chance.

| Thanks for the responses...tired of wasting time going to events that suck! End of may will be cutting it close for me...but I think I want to spend way too much $$ on one more mill, and going to the local dealer for brochures isn't going to cut it Might have to wait for South-Tec |
