Tormach Owners in the San Diego area?

Are there any Tormach owners in the San Diego area? I am thinking about getting a small CNC machine and would like some advice on the PCNC1100.

I would greatly appreciate if I could talk to somebody for about 5 minutes.

    Thanks,

    Tariq

If you can't find anyone in SD, I'm in OC (City of Stanton). Be glad to talk or show you the machine.

    Thank you, Ken...

I would love to see the machine. Perhaps we can talk and determine when would be a convenient time to stop by. Looking forward to talking to you.

    Thanks,
    Tariq

I just saw this post. I am located in Santa Ana, OC, and also have a machine. Maybe it is possible for us all to meet and chat about the machine. I say this because I am fairly new to the CNC, taught myself the CAM software, and wouldn't mind getting some pointers on the machine from someone.

I just saw this post. I got my machine a little over 2 months ago and I really like it. I am a former owner if a Haas and a FADAL. And the only differences I see between those machines is the size and the price. My FADAL was $72,000.00 plus delivery sales tax and tooling. Total of close to $83,000.00.

The Haas was closer to $85,000.00. The Tormach PCNC1100, less than $15,000.00 including lots of tooling and delivery.

The only difference in performance is the speed. The FADAL and Haas both had 10,000 RPM and 20 horsepower and the Tormach has 5,100 RPM and 1.5 horsepower. WHOOP DEDEE. It just takes a little longer to do it on the Tormach, but hey, I'm supposed to be retired, so what do I have besides time.

If you want to see my set up, send me a PM with a phone number and we can set something up.

I will buy the first round! anaheim here. no tormach yet, but learning in my converted X3 and would love to talk to someone who actually appreciates my obsession... er, hobby/business.

FYI- Little Machine Shop is having an open house on the 15th and tormach will be there showing off and doing demos. who better to talk to than the guys that make them? there are other vendors, food and more. I'm definitely going to be there and we could meet there, or after.

if anyone wants more info call/email lms for the rsvp which also enters you into a raffle. crap. telling you this just lowered my odds of winning

Bob, I am in San Clemente and got my PCNC1100 in July. I would love to get together and compare notes and do some general brain picking. I guess that's a little better than nose picking.
