    Write Wizard Code Generation Problem

I just received my new PCNC 1100 about a week ago and have been trying to get the "Write Wizard" to generate "G" code. The only buttons I see are for saving and exiting. If I save and then exit there is no code in the code window or the Tormach screen. At first I thought I forgot to enter a parameter and there was an error but I tried everything and looked all over thinking I wasn't seeing the button. This should be a no brainer, but I can't figure out what I'm missing.

    Can someone please help?

Click on WRITE on the right side (Looks like an Enter key). It might take up to 10 econds or more, but it should take you back to Mach and the code should be there. If not, there's a setting somewhere you haven't set.

open up Tormach Mach 3 go to pick wizard, next click on wizard of choice from list, click run, now you should have the data window screen up. fill in data and hit post G-code then hit exit. the code should now be in you Mach 3 window to run. If not you may have a PC file path issue. Just call Tormach support if the above does not work. They can walk you thru it. if you set the pc up on your own and did not buy thru Tormach... support maybe limited

That's not the write wizard. It's the circular bolt pattern wizard. Mach3 has about 30 different wizards. Even the free demo has them available.

yes, i think that is why i was confused at first since the "write" wizard is set up different than the rest.

Thanks guys! You made a couple of good points and maybe solved another problem for me.

My problem with "write" stemmed from an incorrect parameter. I did press the "Write" button the other day and nothing happened. When I pressesd it today an error message window popped up. When I corrected the parameter and pressed the "Write" button it worked fine. I didn't see the parameter error message the other day. Maybe the window was getting hidden somehow.

I also purchased a license for the New Fangled Wizards and have not been able to get them to run. I get a "unlicensed wizard" message.

I did not install the Mach3 license yet. I read about it but in the excitement forgot about checking if I had to. Since I purchased the computer with the software pre-loaded I figured it was done by Tormach, but I guess not.

I'll have to try that tomorrow and see if the NFS wizard works afterward.

Thanks for all the responses!!!!! I'll let you know how I make out.

That make sence that I too was confused about the write button. I only tried a few of the wizards when machine was new. I don't use them at all.
