8" rotary table and tailstock, how much usable space between centers?

does any one have the 8" rotary table with a chuck and tailstock? i am wondering how much usable area there is between them with them mounted at extreme ends of the table. i am hoping to have about 16" but from the pictures it isn't looking like it is going to happen.

My first job was in 4 axes and I need more room this is what I done.
Look at the pic’s and you can see how I carried the key slots
off the end of the table so I could extend the distance between
the rotary table and the tale stock.
I can use the full X travel between centers now.
I removed my table and done this on my 9x49 mill.
To do this you will need a mill with at least 33” in the X.
    Hope this helps.

This can be done with plates as well but I chose this rout
so I do have to use plates.
