Does anyone know if there is 24 VDC available anywhere in the User Control Panel on an 1100 and if so, where?

You may need to be a bit clearer about what you mean by "User Control Panel"

The large cabinet to the right of the spindle that houses the electronics

There is a daughterboard available that will fit on the newer power distribution boards (Series 3) that I believe provides 24V. Wanting to replace the wall wart for the PDB, I had asked about it. It is somewhat pricey so they didn't recommend it. It is included in the ATC kit though...

Probably the easiest thing to do is get a small switching supply on eBay and mount it in the cabinet.
