    I'm impressed. Very nice work.
You can buy good parts or you can buy cheap parts, but you can't buy good cheap parts.

Thanks Steve, I added a few pictures of the spark arrestor on the bike.

Ya know what's really cool about this spark arrestor? NO ONE will be able to say " oh, I know someone who has one just like it".

    Very nice job.

    Nice work...

Can you talk a bit on how you machine the side attached to the 4th axis and how you cleanly part it off ?

    David,

I used a 2d contour with a curve from the part on the A axis side and cut Z at .5 then rotate A axis 180 deg and run the same 2d contour with the curve reversed so I will be climb milling and run at Z .5. This leaves a tab that is 1 inch thick, Then I use a finish waterline with a finish Z depth of .5 Then copy the waterline operation and Rotate 180 deg and rerun the operation.

I keep copying the 2d contour operations and the finish waterline operations and change the Z value, I was stepping down .250 every operation until I had a tab that was .o75 thick.

I saw the tab with a hacksaw then have to blend the tab by hand.
