Nice's part. Background mess's with my eye's LOL
Met some of the great Tormach crew at the Cabin Fever Expo in York, PA, about a month ago. It was a real nice show, though most of my time was spent at the Tormach booth. They were running some cool parts, one right after the other on a fully loaded 1100. It is an awesome chunk of fantastic I just had to sink my teeth into. Though it will be a while chewing on so much at one time, I'm getting the hang of it, and loving every minute. Here are a few pics of my Tormach 1100's first offspring - manually loaded as I'm new to Mach3 and haven't quite figured out the ATC yet.

Nice. Have fun with it!
Congrats!
Nice work. Does it do anything, or is it a test piece?

Vertical Lathe tool holders and more.
Yes, looks good.
What is that material, HDPE or nylon, or something else?
I just ran some parts from HDPE. Cuts nice but if your not quick with the vacuum hose it goes all over LOL

Looks good for a first part, much nicer than the first one I attempted! Welcome to the club.....

Thanks guys. Not sure on the material, selection criteria were: in stock, easy machine (first part), low cost, and no finish/paint required. Last night I finished six of these. Just ran them dry, hitting the other five with a air nozzle every once in a while - will be setting up my vortex cool gun soon. I have run the same material on a CNC router, but the finished product from the Tormach is really great.
These are clamps for mounting things to the poles in my shop. The u-bolts are stainless 3 1/2" ID. Here is a pic of a finished one.

Nice. Sent out the check for my 1100 Tormach series III. March 2nd. Gotta wait though till they get some in. As a manual machinist I noticed there are no knobs or cranks on the Tormach, I best start learning the lauguge CNC guys speak.
This add-on:
30616 - Shuttle Jog Controller
has just about eliminated my need for handwheels. The MDI can also be very useful when setting up for simple jobs or operations.

MIDI is great. Just tell it where to go.... I haven't quite been able to justify an MPG pendant just yet, but it may be the ticket for manual positioning. I use my computer keyboard like a pendant all the time though for zeroing to a work piece.
