I tried to put a picture of some parts I made with the help of my Tormach for all of you to see. For some reason the post keeps getting removed. Is there any reason for the admin to remove it?

Well how can I do one post in to areas? Both machines helped with the parts and not everyone visits both areas.
Nice parts.
How about a comparison of which machine (and why) you used to do some of those parts. It might also be interesting to see what applications you use for design and CAM too.

In choosing a machine usually goes by which one is open first. If I have a lot of material to remove I will go with the Mikini because I can do it faster. If I need the rotary head or have a lot of tool changes I will use the Tormach.
I have Bobcad, EdgeCAM and NX for software but I am primarily using NX for everything.
Thanks for the additional details. Have you upgraded your Tormach to the newer steppers and drives yet? I suppose those will make the rapids on the two mills a bit more comparable.
I haven't upgraded yet but it is going to fit into the budget some how.
TTS won't compete with collet chucks for material removal.
I'm sorry, R8 collet chucks. Being aggressive with TTS can cause the tool to pull out. With an R8 collet chuck or side lock there is a lot less chance full tools to pull out.
I am from an industrial background and when I bought the Tormach I had some learning curves to overcome. Still a great machine but TTS does not seem to handle aggressive cutting.
OK, I think I see. You are referring to collet chucks that mount directly to the R8 spindle and which use the drawbar. I can see where those might be better than TTS-mounted holders for aggressive cuts. I've only had one or two problems with TTS holders and pullet on my Tormach and that might have been due to a dirty or worn R8 collet. My cuts tend to be on the conservative side, too.
