    5th axis

    I saw a 3+2 setup somewhere on a tormach.
If I purchased two 4th axis drives, and mounted them in a trunnion arrangement, can mach 3 handle this alone? Or is this wishful thinking.

    Hi Andrew

You may be talking about this. http://www.cnczone.com/forums/tormac...p_running.html

Mach can handle 6 axis. But the Tormach control board does not have enough inputs for the 5th or 6th. And as stated you will need some other stuff as well.

It is doable with a fair amount of work.
