mach 3 on new PCNC770 wont go out of demo mode with license installed...

I have had my PCNC 770 for about a week, finally got to a program with more that 500 lines. It stops at 500 lines. Under HELP it shows I am still in demo mode. Tried manually pasting license in the mach 3 directory and then pcnc directory still no change in demo status. I tried by the directions first of putting in cd and letting it put license where it should . I did that it showed a dos prompt and said it was installed and then closed. I rebooted several times and no change in demo status. Ra program and stopped at line 500. Anyone else had this problem?

I had the same problem with my 770 when I first started using it. I also couldn't access the "extra" program for changing settings (changing probe to break a circuit on contact or not, etc.) I remember getting an error when I tried opening that program and doing a search on the error and was directed to download an update for XP and a little command prompt stuff and moving the file into the proper place fixed it. I would contact Tormach about this as I don't remember all the specifics but it did work even though Windows gave me an error message as I was doing the updates. Good luck.

Thanks, I will be contacting them first thing in the morning, I lost the whole weekend not being able to go past 500 lines...

Temproary workaround... subprograms. You can write VERY long and complex programs in very few lines. I realize that it doesn't solve the problem, but you can get work done that way (assuming you haven't solved it already)

Called Tormach, they sent me a new license key, that did not work either, it stayed in demo mode. I finally got another desktop that is similar to the one I use. I loaded mach 3 then loaded the old key, it worked. It went out of demo mode. Unfortunately I lost so much time that when I got it to work after wasting the whole weekend I just used that one. I needed to make up for lost time and get some work done. So, I still need to remedy that situation on my work pc. My daughter is begging for her pc back ... I am stumped on that one but I need to figure it out but I cant afford to waste another 10 hours on it right now.....
