Any must have tools before $ increase 9/15

Tormach is going to be raising prices on or about Sept. 15 - what must have tools or accessories do you recommend for general purpose machining work?

    ??? all tooling increases? dramatically?

I'm newer, but just got the basic "manual" package and it changed machining for me. ordering face mill, and a few more set screw holders next week. novakon plans on having their ER20s back in stock next month so I'll order 4 or 5 more then

If the set screw holders go up drastically, Victor Machinery Exchange has them as well for the same $25 price. Not sure if their price will also go up though.

I just bought some jacobs chuck TTS's. Was tired of switching drill bits (and loosing my height offsets) for various tap sizes.

im excited to get their face mill and try it out. funny how fast the best purchase I ever made in tooling isn't enough...

I did use two adapter kits for my Haimer 3D taster. had to put one upside down and one right side up to close the recess on the 3/4" german version

I've been very impressed by the face mill. One of Tormach's videos provides feed, speed and depth of cut numbers for Al, Steel, and Stainless, which eliminates the guesswork.

I am thinking of buying a second mill, so I can have one set up with aluminum cutting inserts, and one with steel cutting inserts.

Did NYCCNC produce that video for Tormach? It sounds a lot like tkiia308's voice.

I'm flattered, but nope, not me. BTW, I have no formal association with Tormach. Just a happy user.

IMHO your efforts are on par with the Tormach Folks. They should consider using you.
