Just wondering if any of you Tormach users have used the Vectric products: VCarve, 3D Cut, PhotoCarve? If so what has been your experience? Do you use the generic MACH3 postprocessor?
Thanks for the comments...... I have been playing with the demos this weekend and it looks like interesting software.
Is the main difference between Aspire and the other programs is that Aspire adds the 3d modeling feature? I already have 3d modeling software so was mostly looking at the 3 programs I mentioned prior.
Yes, Aspire does everything PhotoVcarve does plus the 3D modelling. I have used quite a few cad/cam packages over the years and the Vectric software has great capability and the shortest learning curve of any package I've tried (for me anyway). I still use Rhino3d and VisualMill for a few things but not many.
I've used PhotoCarve, and found it to be very easy to use, and produced fantastic results. Well worth $149.

Thanks guys, glad to hear that the software works well with the Tormach..... Will likely buy the Vcarve, Photocarve, and the 3d cut package as that looks to be the best deal being I have modeling software. Now to go see if the piggybank is fat enough for a new toy or if he needs to be fed for a couple more weeks first!
