I discovered last night that the intersecting holes that (should) deliver oil to the face of my Z gib do not intersect. The longer of the two isn't long enough... by about an inch. Is this a known/common issue, or just another "Oops!" confined to my machine?
And may I assume that you are taking that step because they didn't seem particularly well lubricated? Might wanna check the gib, if you've already verified that your lines and fittings are free from leaks and blockages.
Protip: before removing the gib, remember to rest the spindle nose on a block of wood.
Flick:
I won't bother. My Tormach has been working well for three years of heavy usage.
