Perhaps $1085 version is for upgrades on older mills and $745 is for the option on a new mill.

I checked the $745 version. It turns up in the shopping cart at $1,085, so I guess it's just a typo.

Looks like they cut and pasted the entry for the spindle upgrade and forgot to change the price.
