| The title is a little bit of a joke. I just extended my sides up with some 1/8" material I had on hand. I slotted the sides so I could adjust it and play with the height a little. I've found the highest is the best. ;-) ![]() This does a pretty good job of containing 99% of the chips & coolant. I get some splattering on the back wall if I'm running a large diameter tool at high RPMs. On most standard endmills, all the coolant and chips stay where they are supposed to although it makes it harder to hit the E-stop. I'm going to remote locate one out front anyway. Here is my slight modification so that the big Parlec vise is usable. ![]() And here is proof that a 4-flute 3/8" rougher won't do a 0.25 DOC @ 25ipm. ![]() |
