Yes me. Early 2006 shipping to my door Norway was USD 942.00. That was when the dollar was somewhat weaker than it is now.

There have been several discussions regarding shipping costs to Europe, do a search.

Nice, thanks. Was that the mill alone or including stand etc.? The dollar is substantial weaker now than back in 2006, at least compared to ddk/euro:-)

I had my PCNC + deluxe stand + 4th axis set + 5" vise + small tools sent to Hong Kong in April 2008.
Although the machine is made in China (just across the border), I could not avoid to have it shipped from US.

Ocean freigt was only US$ 495, but there are many other charges on top of that (trucking, handling, documentation, etc.).
The total freight charges door-to-door added up to US$ 1,400.

Cost of Importing into the UK

I imported a Tormach and accessories into the UK in February 2009. Shipping costs were roughly as follows:

Ocean Freight (Halifax, Nova Scotia to Liverpool) US$285
Documentation US$80
Trucking - actually by rail (Chicago to Halifax, Nova Scotia) US$263

Plus in the UK:

Terminals £32
Examination £14
Customs Entry £45
Port Security Charge £3
Haulage (Liverpool to Cambridge) £208
Insurance £35

Total cost was £757, although of course this is dependent upon the exchange rate.

In the UK there is also import duty and VAT to pay. I'm VAT registered so I don't sweat over the VAT as I can claim it back.

Total shipping time was about 3 weeks.
