R., that's a promising development and deserves its own thread so people can find it better. My own enclosure likely cost more than it should, but I don't like painting (OK, I suck at painting ) so I wanted to use already-finished outdoor rated materials in mine.

Don't get me wrong your enclosure is great, awesome, fantastic, but as you said not "cheap".

The move to Texas and re-commissioning of the Tormach gave me the chance/excuse to cut 3" off the enclosure height and lower the M998 height by the same amount. I also replaced the electronics cabinet door latch with a couple of Southco C2-33-15 latches to hold it more firmly--over the years a surprising number of chips found their way past the rudimentary foam seal.

Nice job Randy - I cant quite see you electrical cabinet key 'door latch' I recently discovered mine was letting in coolant - then it vibrated open and carried on until the coolant and chips triped the RCD. Then I made a O ring sealed door knob. - see pic.

My key lock fell apart (the cast body cracked, if I remember right) and after I removed the remnants I just closed the hole with a knock-out plug that you use on electrical boxes. I was going to go back and make a better cover, but my coolant really doesn't splash that high very often. Your knob is very nice.
