Default lathe stops at zero and will not proceed?

This just started happening the other day and I cannot figure out why.
Using the same Gcode we have used for more than two years.
Have not changed any tool table settings or updated Path Pilot.
Just ran maybe 50 thousand parts using the same 5 gcode.
Now it starts everything like normal. It just stops the tool at zero and will not proceed. All 5 gcodes.
I have since reloaded all backup gcodes and reinstalled the same version of PP.
I initially though someone has hit the M01 or something, but none of our code has any M0 codes.

I checked back through all of the setup settings and all seems to be as normal.
I get a yellow led when the door is open and green when closed.
    Spindle is turning as normal.
Love to figure out why this is happening.
Thanks in advance for any possible ideas.
Oh and no errors are being set.

Is it waiting for the spindle to come up to speed? (Does pathpilot have a rpm display and is it working?)

    Nailed it.
One of my new guys checked the belts last week like I asked and forgot to reinstall the encoder cable.
    Thanks a bunch.
    On to another 50000 parts.
