Default 770 - Full enclosure - yes or no?

I've just finished setting up my 770 - haven't use it yet.

I got to thinking - I will likely mostly use the misting coolant, and only rarely flood coolant. I have the full enclosure (not assembled yet) but its huge. I was wondering if the backsplash and chip guard might be a better way?

    Any thoughts appreciated.

I use a backsplash and spindle guard that keeps 95% of the chips on the table and off the Y and Z bellows I have an 1100 S3 machine.

Three good reasons why I like the full enclosure:

    1) I share the space on occasion with my my good wife ..... and she isn’t a fan of sewing when chips are flying.
    2) almost never wear shoes in the work shop either no shoes or Australia safety boots I.e ‘thongs’. And don’t like sharp chips in my feet!
    3) don’t have to pick aluminium out of the dogs fur.

    Down sides I find:
    1) harder to clean but mainly because I have a dodgy back and I like it cleaned properly after a run of parts.
    2) I have milled some big pieces of flat alu before the enclosure, which would be impossible now.
    3) size, as stated I also have a pretty small space and the machine only has a foot behind it, which makes any job at the back.... that little more fun!

All weighted up for me, I would go the full enclosure again if I needed to do it again.

Note ‘thongs’ is the australia definition not the American so worn on the feet not between your a$se cheeks

OK, enclosure built and control panel relocated. All seems to work fine, but the two led's on the replacement board that I installed as part of the control relocation kit do not light up at all. Not sure if this makes any difference or not, as everything seems to move or turn on/off as it should.

Sorry can help with that one, I just removed the panel and didn’t relocate.

My guess would be that the LEDs are wired up backwards.

The LED's are on the replacement board. I guess they might have wires them wrong (wouldn't be the first time). I'll ask them next week about it.

If the LEDs are board-mounted, it’s not likely they are backwards. I thought the they might have their own wires.
