Default Shop Vac - Is It okay to run for extended period

Got a plastic mold making question - as it relates to a shop vacuum. I have a ShopVac contractor series 14 gal / 6.5 amp. I've got a dust shoe hooked up to the spindle and the dust shoe hooked to my shop vac. Now, on these 3D parts the vac might have to run for 3 or 4 hours..... Anyone ever ran theirs for this length of time before? I'm trying to avoid getting a Rockler Tool dust collector because of room in the shop.

    Thoughts?

    Thanks,
    Awall

Shop Vac's and central Vac's being Universal motors that run at high rpm, as most serial motors essentially in a run-away condition, so the bearing and the brushes take the brunt of it, Just make sure they do not run with any blockage as although the current goes down, the heat and rpm goes rises.

I ran my ShopVac, same one you have, for 4 days straight one time. It lasted another 3 years in normal use before the power switch finally failed and I retired it.
