770 ATC mounting issue

I am in the process of mounting the ATC on a 770 and am having an issue with the fit between the square tube and the mill column. The mill column has a slight curve which prevents the square tube from sitting flush. I think I will use some washers or spacers between the two in order to allow the bolt hole locations to have a solid mount.

Has anyone else run into the same issue, and what did you do as a work around?
