Mountaindew, Nice setup. I've been in ORs that weren't as tidy.

About 30% of my time in shop is cleanup of messes and putting tools back not the fun part. With central vac system clean up is not bad . Also small shop not much area to clean . I try to stay organized and not spend to much time looking for something and keep it enjoyable to use. This is my thing, I can pass hours in shop and never even notice. listen to music,tv, machines, draw models, and make shiny things. Nice enjoyable drama free fun safe place spend time on a friday night. No big crowds, no waiting in line and by far safer and cheaper then a dui. To be honest a couple freight companies and ups drivers have told me they always look forward to delivering to my house for a chance to see what Im up to. Everybody likes shiny things
I too have a system known as the "It's someplace around here" system.
I use the most cutting edge technology for organizing my projects. I learned the system by looking at one of my past girlfriends wardrobe closet. and noticed many of them and other people use same system. I call it the PILE system.
As I find parts and materials for a given project I put them in a pile. " cheap plastic closet storage boxes in my case" Then when I have most of it together, I can work on it until I am missing something or another distraction makes me leave that pile.
I bet this is not as high tech as Amazon uses and I bet they have a trade mark name for their shipping system for your orders, but in theory it is the same
Edit: Now how much further can this thread stray off topic.
LOL Mountaindew I do the same in my shop.
