T-Slot Cutter Recommendation

Looking to build some custom T-Slot fixtures using small T-Slots. I've heard that using a key cutter is the wrong approach. Anyone have a recommendation? Will be in a 1" aluminum plate using 3/8" T-Slots.

A T-slot cutter has edge cutting capability, a keyway cutter does not. You want to buy a T-slot cutter
