Yes, you need to upgrade to PP2.0 for future updates. They are on 2.0.1 now

Can anyone tell me if it is required to buy the new dongle 2.0 to be able to get PP updates beyond 1.9.13?
I am not really interested in the other benefits of the dongle just wat to access the most current updates
Thanks

Just to make sure you don't misunderstand: it is not a dongle, it is just a self-booting usb thumbdrive loaded with the updated OS and PP. Once you install the updated PP, the thumbdrive has no additional function, and all further updates can be made by downloading the update from Tormach.
Some (older) CAD/CAM programs would sell you a dongle, which had to be physically inserted in a computer to get the software to run.

The amount of stuff to update for 2.0 was too much to do as a regular download.
Hence, you need to buy the USB thumb drive to get and install the update.
Once you're on 2.0, you should be able to keep downloading/updating as usual, and can turn the thumb drive into a cat picture archive or whatever.
