Default zooming origin of Tool Path Display window

Is there a way to change the zooming origin of PathPilot's Tool Path Display ("TPD")? In other graphic programs I am familiar with, the center about which an image zooms in or out is determined by the position of the cursor as one scrolls the zoom. In this screenshot

all the action in the TPD window is in the lower right, and I expected that I could focus on this area by bringing the cursor into it and then zooming in. Instead, the zooming origin seems to be permanently fixed at the center of the TPD window, so zooming in takes the area of interest off the screen. It may there be bigger, but uselessly so.

Dragging this area can bring it to the center of the screen, but at the cost of changing its orientation in 3-space. What am I missing?
