Default Need help with multiple offsets in PP

I am attempting to do my first multiple offsets in PP and am not sure how to input the references.
    Here is what I think I am suppose to do;
    - type in G54 in mdi
    - reference the part and set 0 in x y z
    - type in G55 in the mdi for the next part/reference.
    - reference the G55 part and set zero in x y z
    - continue for G56, G57 etc

    Does this sound right?

Do I keep re-reference zero for each part assume PP will remember it?

Thanks for any insight on how to do this.
Btw,I am using sprutcam for my cam

Btw,I am using sprutcam for my cam
I only use g54 and make several parts using the one offset
I draw them in cad with a known spacing export into sprutcam and set the ops for all the parts.
One part can be drawn in cad then imported into sprutcam and using the transform function, it will do as many multiples as you set up.

I flip my parts for the back side but they are all still attached to the stock, machining the backside cuts them into individual parts and finishes them on a fixture.

I have never used different offsets, I always work with g54.

I use Sprutcam 7 here and Rhino 4

    Thanks Mike,
I want to learn multiple offsets sine I have a 3- chuck mounted fixture plate and every time I load it on the machine it will not be perfectly located so I want to reference each part independently (i.e. G54, G55....)
    Thanks

Are you re-referencing the machine for each offset? Your sequence looks good except I'm not sure what all the referencing is for.

Once you reference the machine, set your G54 zeros. Then type G55 in your MDI and zero that. Repeat for the rest.

    Yes, you're doing it right.
There's no need to re-reference the machine.
Just find your location and Zero X,Y. But make sure the corresponding G54, G55, G56, G57 is highlighted in the work offset page when Zeroing your location.

Thanks, I meant reference the next part, not re-reference the machine.

Gotcha! Then like Russ says, you're doing it right.
