    Default Faster than spec?

I have a PCNC770 series 3 which is supposed to have a maximum feed of 135ipm. I was running a job this afternoon that does fairly long (about 1.5 inches) G00 moves. I was surprised to note that the display frequently showed feeds as fast as 169ipm. Have others noticed this turbo charged performance?

What does the displayed feed rate represent? My rapid moves were at approximately a 45-degree angle (simultaneous X/Y moves of similar distances) so I suppose that if both axis were moving at 135ipm then the travel along the hypotenuse would be at more than 190ipm.

Exactly.. you are moving both axis at the same time - at 135ipm - then the velocity of the tool tip will be 190ipm

    SQR(135^2+135^2) = 190ipm
