Default Gnome desktop from Pathpilot 1.9.11

Just noticed something odd. Under PP 1.9.11, I was trying to get to the desktop using the usual 'hit Lshift+ Alt when the Tormach splash screen shows' method. Could not get there. Tried several times, both at the Tormach splash screen and earlier and later. Nothing worked, launch went right to the PP main page (or, if earlier than the Tormach screen, to a launcher page).

Installed PP 1.9.6b, method worked first time. As it has for other releases, 6b was just the one I had right to hand.

    Anyone else noted this?

Try ALT -CTRL- X, this seems to work here 100% of the time to get to the terminal.

the L shift alt doesnt work for me either.

I should have said that alt-ctrl-x worked for me, too.

However. I am very Linux-naive, and was doing something that didn't need the terminal (necessarily), and wanted the Gnome desktop to get where I wanted to be (as I didn't know a better way).

I am not very Linux savvy either!

I can hit exit in Pathpilot, then from the top line on the screen, click "places", then click desktop, I made a link to the Tormach 1100-3.ini file on the desktop, click that and make my changes to the .ini file, when done click the upper right "X", this puts me back into pathpilot, click cancel in the "exit cancel" window and I am back in pathpilot without having to reload it.

The changes will only be saved if you shut down the controller and reboot.
