Monoprice Monitor - Capacitive or Resistive?

My 17" Monoprice arrived today. Reading the docs I learned that if I do nothing it will default to capacitive bot if I load the drivers from the included CD, it will be upgraded to resistive. Is that something I should do? I have no idea how to load drivers in Linux. I don't even know how to boot into the settings.

If you're running PP, just plug it in and get the signal source right. I -think- it'll be running as resistive. But it's plug n play once you get past the signal source bump- do a restart and it'll autoadjust for the correct screen size (another brief moment of oh, xxxx! when I installed mine). I didn't load any extra drivers.

Was able to hook it up today, totally plug and play. Absolutely painless and works great.

fwiw, you should of went with the 19"...
17" is just so small...

I tried to change to the 19" but Amazon was just too fast.
