    Torchmate Nesting Trouble.

When I copy entities in torchmate CAD to cut multiples of the same object. the plasma cutter doesnt function smoothly. either it wont cut all the way through, or I may get Height controol error. but when I cut just one of the same object there is no problem. any Ideas?

When is it not cutting through, and what error are you receiving on the Height Control?

If you cut out a single one repeatedly with no errors, I have a few suggestions of things to look for.

Make sure that your nest isn't too close and attempting to pierce over an existing hole. Make sure that your air supply for the Plasma cutter can keep up with continuous use. Make sure that you are checking the consumables for failure regularly.

With a little more information I can help narrow this done further.

I could not get the error to re-occur. It was not the M100 error. the cutting head continued moving after it stopped cutting. As far as not cutting through, it is very inconsistent. Some parts are good, and others I have to smack with a hammer to get out, and others just don't come out. I was able to get the parts cut out, by slowing my speed down. I didn't think this would be common practice. to change settings based on the number of parts.

    Cheers,
    Aaron

If the cutting head continues to move after the torch shuts off, I would ask if the torch height stayed the same when this happened? If the torch is retracting, and then losing the flame because it is too far away from the material that is slong the lines of the automatic voltage being set too high. If the torch flame shuts off and then retracts, that the cutter is most likely shutting itself off and the AVHC is still attempting to function. If the torch flame shuts off and the height remains unchanged, this could be the cutter shutting itself off but the AVHC is set in Manual mode.

I would define your cut quality based on 3 things, your speed your height and your amperage on the cutter. If you speed varies or height value changes dramatically, you will notice a dramatic difference in the cut. The difference could be from cutting just fine, to barely cutting through. Now the Plasma cutter's output can vary, as in the incoming air pressure drops significantly you will lose your cutting capacity.
