    Cutting Order

    Hi
TM2 Router Table, Torchmate CAD software.
I am routing out a shape in aluminium which has 8 cut sequences.
The last cut needs to be done earlier in the sequence.
I have opened "Tool Path Viewer" and ticked "Order" , On the screen I have the curser with the "+" but the "To Position" will not accept any changes. All that is offered is "Position 1"
    Anybody help please?
    John

When you do a blanket tool-path on an object, it is seen as one object and thus one part to sequence. In order to break that part up into something that you can sequence the 8 individual objects, after you have created the tool-path select the object and do an Arrange - Break Path.

Once this is done, all of the cuts are now individually selectable. Select the first cut alone, then go to the Layout menu - Sequence - and click Start Sequence. When you move your mouse over the cad screen there will be a blue line connected to the first cut, you can then proceed to select the cuts in the order you wish them to cut. When you are done, simply click away into the blank and the lines disappear. Export the object as a DXF and it will cut out in the order specified. I'm sure we have a walk-through available on the procedure if you'd like one.

Thanks for that Mike, I understand about the break path now but still having a problem, could you let me have the walk through?
