Just finger tight it on, there is no need to crank down on it with any amount of force. As soon as the switch in the head is depressed and the plasma cutter kicks on, it should be tight enough.
I have studied manual of thermal Dynamics about how to install shiel cup,but don' know which degree of tightness is suit for torch head and afraid that wrong opetate will cause damage with cutter power.unfortunately I have burnned a torch head on yesterday.
thank you reply .

I often exchange the nozzle and electrode,so that thread has a little tolerance and must tight enough to plasma cutter kicks on.
if this will cause life of start cartridge(9-8213) bring down?
My start carridge that is working 7 hour in day only using for 30 days .reed
What is the life span of the start cartridge? with heavy cutting I would be expecting to replace that part at least 2 times in a month.
