    Smile Bobcad 21 with TM3

    Hi All,
I have been using my TM3 for a while and was wondering what postprocessor to use for the plasma cutting in Bobcad 21. I guess I could just design the part and export as .dxf to TM3, but was just wondering if anyone else has used this software.

    Hi,
I save as a .dxf and then import into TM3. I have had some good luck and some not so good. I just scanned a part into MS Paint and edited it in TM Cad. I then exported it and edited further in Bobcad 21. The editing features in Bobcad are so far superior to TM Cad. I have been going over the Bobcad training videos and find them to be the most helpful experience I have had. I also have the TM Cad cd from Jack Carter. This has also been very helpful . I had no cad experience when I started, and now I am learning at a nice pace.
Also, I import the Bobcad .dxf directly in to TM3 cut program and the G code comes out perfect. I might edit the cut speed...F:... line for the proper speed for the amps and thickness, but that is easy.

    Hi All.

BobCad has a postprocesor to TM3 (Torchmate w Flashcut), you can download fron their page in internet.

But it has a problem, when you generate the code the postprocesor generate cordinates to Z and you have to erase those to run the program

Sorry, but i donñt have the best english

    Good Luck

    Contact BobCad

Hi- I use BobCad V23 with a Torchmate table. I just emailed BobCAd tech support and you can request a post processor from them. you just take a G code from TM and email it to them and they'll create a post processor. I did it with mine. it took about 5 times back and forth with the BobCAd guy but we eventually got it. it works good now!
