TM Plate Marker VS. Arc Writer Hypertherm

For marking steel, does anybody can help me understand the difference, pros and cons of the plate marker from Torchmate and the Arc Writer from Hypertherm?

Or the comparison should be between the Arc Writer and the Routing/Drilling acesory from TM?

I believe the arc writer uses an electrical arc to effectively gouge the material, leaving a small depression in the material where the torch moves. The Plate marking attachment uses pneumatic air pressure to push against the material with a vibrating tip leaving a small, clean depression in the material.

I like the Plate Marker for it's accuracy and consistency, as well as the speeds you can travel at with it. It's a fair bit on the noisy side, just a fair warning!

Thanks fof the quick answer, I assume the scribe is the marker from TM.

If so, you believe the Arc Writer is not as accurate and as consistent as the marker?

And, does TM offers as well the Arc Writer from Hypertherm?

I personally haven't seen or used an arc-writer, our research engineer had a personal demonstration and brought back a few samples. From the samples he brought back, it did what it was supposed to do, but the scribe just seems like a simpler more effective solution.
