Why the big price difference in plasma cutters?

Why is there such a big difference of plasma cutters prices between CNC table makers and those from this online store?

For example, purchasing the Cutmaster 81 from Torchmate costs some $2,200, but online goes for $1792, S&H included. That is about $400 in savings.

This is the store I am talking about:

Has anybody purchased from that online store before? Any good or bad feedback from your experience that you care to share?

Your local vendor will be able to beat Cyberwelds price if he cares to do so.

I think cyberweld stocks in bulk...which allows them to sell for less.
I bought my cutter for $1100.00 and my local dealer couldn't touch it.

If you are referring to this Cutmaster 81... http://store.cyberweld.com/thdyplcucu81.html

And this one from us... http://www.torchmatestore.com/produc...001-1122-1.htm

The difference is going to be a 25' machine torch, and they also come with a remote pendant control for easier wiring into our systems.

can a plasma cutter do everthing that a metal band saw will. It is for farm/ construction equipment repair and fabrication use. most jobs are an inch thick or less. What brand would you rec. I have looked at the jet band saw and hypertherm and cutmaster 81. big price difference on the two plama cutters.

Ralph, this might be the wrong forum for that type of question. A metal band saw is different in many ways from a plasma cutter, especially a hand held torch. It would probably depend on your situation and the intended uses of the torch.
