cooper cutting

I need to cut 1/8" cooper plate with my CNC torchmate & cutmaster A80, any comment or suggestion?, what plasma tip, velocity and torch height recommendation?

Use the same specs that are listed in your A80 operators manual for cutting aluminum.....same height, same amperage and same consumables.....but start at about 60% of the aluminum speed. You will have to experiment a bit up or down....but that will get you in the ballpark.

Been there, done that. Just be ready for some serious heat warping and your THC will get a workout.. Test (don't know your cutter model so can't offer specifics) and cut it the fastest you can and still get a suitable cut. Dropping the amperage may help keep it a little cooler, but it's a trade of amperage vs speed so find a happy medium. It's do-able
