Hi and thanks for reading this,
I added a torchmate in my shop of CNC mills and lathes. The shop does all drawing on autocad, solidworks, or mastercam. Of course all programing in done with mastercam. As I would agree to most statements about torchmate cad, it is different (very different). I have tried a test of edited posted g code from mastercam to torchmate3 and it worked. Now I am entering a new world to me of making a post processor for the torchmate. Anybody being here before, and/or have some hints of making a stripped down post (no Z move, Macro's, work offsets, only G0 G1)?
Now I know some of you are thinking why if you have a working torchmate3?
I have come across some patterns that I would like to control which order and direction they are cut in, also change speed from holes to perimeter. Yep it works edited code from cimco editor to torchmate3.
thanks again
I know of a few customers who worked with mastercam to generate a Torchmate post script for 2d plas cutting. If you get a hold of them you may even be able to get your hands on it.
Quite simply you already have it correct, no Z axis motions and all G00/G01 commands. We have automatic m-code definitions in the driver software.
