grinding 420ss

can somebody help me

I'm grinding 420ss, the piece is 39"x3.5"x2.25".

The problem I'm having is when grinding on parallels the piece pulls up. I have 2 magnetic parallels under each end. I can only take a .0001 at a time.

Any help would be appreciated

The piece has to be ground parallel flat.

If you ever have more question pm me directly. I'm a master blanchard and surface grinder. I run from 18"-144" capacity blanchards and up to 144" surface grinders. Also run centerless and universal cylindrical grinders as well as a cnc creep/profile grinder.
