I recently got this machine with another machine i bought on auction. It consists of a grinding spindle with two slides, paralel to and perpendicular to the grinding spindle. On the top slide is a bar that is angle adjustable bar. on top of this bar is a slider block with another angle adjustable fitting on top of that.
a sub spindle driven by a flexable shaft drives an o-ring type belt, that seem to have spun a tool while being ground.

I would guess that this tool was used to produce taper pins, or to put chamfers on small pins.

Does anyone recognize this machine?

I was thinking of modifying it to be able to grind tools on it, but it still seems to be a long way from being usefull in my workshop.
