    ATC hanged up

    I am working on a 5-axis vertical milling machine.We are facing problem with the ATC.As when we call for tool change no errors comes but the ATC gets hanged and does not work.It show the message of "tool change in progree" but it never works..

    pls guide me with the proper method to repair this issue.

    we get that on a 4 axis at work ,what happens is the optical sensors in the tool changer get layered with coolant and the tool changer gets hung up , try spraying some soapy water around any sensors near the atc and hopefully it will be an easy fix for you

    I cannot see check where the sensors are located in our ATC.We have 16 pocket ATC.Pls see the attached schematic drawing of our machine type.
