Thread: LC 4896 starts automagicaly

    The machine has not acted up in the past few months. I have updated the control software and cleaned out the remote start box, that seems to have fixed the problem.

    I've noted one possible cause that I've fixed within my own code, which may exist in your own program. If your travel for any axis from one point to the next is very low, the lm628 and lm629 controller chips seem to be awkward. Within my own code, if the absolute value of any axis of motion is less than 0.0005", it disregards motion for that axis. This fix improved boring operations as well as scribing features and eliminated several unexpected pauses in operations in other code segments.



    This may not be your problem, but is one possible cause.
