    Begiinner CNC Woodworker

This topic may have been covered many times. I am opening a woodworking business to do signs, specialty cabinet and trunks for equestrians and barns, and some specialty items like fly tying desk and stations. I have narrowed my options to a Techno LC4896 and a Legacy Artisan system. It sounds like there are alot of positive comments and feedback on the Techno systems.

Any advice, direction or guidance would be greatly appreciated since this is such a large investment.

    Thanks

I think the biggest part of your decision has to be based on what you plan to do. how big a table do you need, what sizes of material do you expect to cut, and how strong is the machine. how are the linear bearings supported, etc. look into the prices and features and add on capabilities of each machine do you need a 4th axis, how well do the machines perform continuous motion etc.

you might also inquire into the new hd and hds series routers from techno, a robust machine, but I don't know if a 4th axis is a possibility.

Thanks for the reply. There is certainly a great deal of information to digest all around. The investment required certainly ups the ante, especially when you are new to this whole CNC thing. I'll into the hds. Thanks again.
