    Z plunging beyond origin

When a file is started from the origin, after 100% complete it then returns to origin, but very occasionaly it goes beyond z=0 and stabs the part. Kind of annoying after a 1hr delicate part has just finished.

The gcode doesn't show this plunge, my z axis brake clicks away and seems to work fine.

Any body know whats happening here?

check your setup file and make sure it isn't set to return to 0 after run. you should be able to set it so it can be sent where ever you want

Did you ever figure out what caused this problem? It just happened to me after running a part with 2 tools. Drilled holes first with short bit, routed part with longer bit. Then after the program finshed the router went to the my zero in x and y then drop into the part and just stayed there as the router spun.

look at setup make sure it doesn't return to the original settings (offsets) after run. also I try and make sure the 0-0-0 is never over a part. that way, since Murphy is an optimist such mysteries as poltergeists are accounted for too, to some extent.
