1990 XYZ Gantry Table Way Covers
I have a circa 1990 XYZ gantry table that I've cleaned up and lubed. When I pulled the accordion style way covers, the stiffening ribs fell out; every single one. Texas heat and age have done a number on the tiny bit of adhesive along the edge of the ribs.
The bellows appear to be a stiff paper and the stiffening ribs are a very thin plastic. Has anyone with this old style cover reapplied an adhesive with success? I'm not sure what adhesive to use.
Barring that, any suggested sources of replacement covers?
I'm on the edge of my seat in excited anticipation to start cutting with this thing, but don't want to mess up the ball screws. Driving it with a TinyG v8 controller that was easy to setup. The router I'm getting started with is a DeWalt DWP611.
Thanks

I had the aluminum covers on mine, I pulled them off and left them off for at least the last 15 years, and it is a lot easier to blow the dust and chips out.

Cool beans. I was beginning to think that might be the case after looking around at all the home built machines that didn't have them. A dust shoe will be one of the first projects, so manual until then.
Thanks.
