What Cad/Cam Software do you use????? Hello All Just wondering what software do you use. We are using GibbScam and we are not happy with it, updates, to pricey, and now the update we just installed does not like our integrated video cards. So now we have to install new video cards in 17 computers. So I want to know what other options we have. Thanks

Its a good question and you will get a million answers from a million people. At the end of the day, its what you want to do with it and what kind of machines do you want to drive. I have a variety of CAD/CAM and its still a hard question to answer when my customers ask me. I use Delcam, mainly because of 5 axis machines I program and FeatureCAM for the 3 axis stuff.

MT Tech Teacher For Router, Mill, lathe I use Boxford. I came with my machines. They are a little expensive but well worth the money. Their software is excellent in the educational setting and their machines are well built. a buddy of mine says that the new Denford are perhaps a better buy and nearly as well built.

Both Dolphin CAD/CAM and Surfcam. For heavy 3D, Surfcam. For the everyday jobs, Dolphin. I believe all software programs have there pros and cons. Not only CAD/CAM, just all software in general. It's best to find one that fits your way of thinking.
